Video at Happily Ever After Party

Taylor, on August 12, 2019 at 11:08 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4
Hello! So my FH and I are planning to do a small destination wedding with a limited guest list (immediate family) with a Happily Ever After Party a month or so later when we return from honeymooning and such. The party will be like a reception and we will invite everyone else. With that being said, would it be weird or tacky to play the video of the ceremony at the Happy Ever After Party?

    I don’t think that’s tacky at all.

My cousin had a destination wedding and then a local reception. She played their wedding video, and it was a nice touch for those who weren't present.

It might be nicer if your videographer can put together a shorter, creative edit of your ceremony (highlighting the main parts). That way it’s perfect to play for a reception and keeps your guests from sitting through the full ceremony (which could get a little odd).

Hey Taylor! Where are you having your destination wedding? Will you be honeymooning in the same location?

I think it’s a lovely idea to show your friends and family your wedding video. Do you think you would like to show the entire thing or an edit that will show the highlights and your favorite parts?
