Very Frustrated 😞

Mrs. Spring, on October 21, 2020 at 11:36 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
Here we go again, on the "what to wear" topic. I had planned on wearing a dress that I feel so beautiful in. Only "issue" is that I have worn it before, only once for engagement pictures. My mom keeps pressuring me to buy a new dress. Now, my FH wants me too as well. I'm not a fan with online ordering. I really want to try on a dress or outfit before purchasing it bc it's for my wedding. A big deal to me. Another issue is that several retailers in my state are not permitting customers to use the dressing rooms to try on attire. I really do not want to keep purchasing then returning while paying for return shipping and handling.

What did you all do?
Being around my plants calms my anxiety down.Very Frustrated 😞 1

Have you checked the Nordstrom website yet?? They have beautiful dresses (both bridal and formal gowns), and free returns! I use them all the time when I have a special event coming up for that reason. I moved in with my fiancé and there are ZERO good stores within 2 hours of here 😫 So I just go through the website and order lots of dresses I like (last time I ordered 10+ dresses), try them on at home, and then return the ones I don’t like for free!

Amazon Prime has Amazon Wardrobe where you can order quite a few dresses, try them on, and return them for free after a certain amount of days. You can return them all or keep 1 and return the rest. Does not matter! That would be a good option.

I understand that online shopping for clothing feels very frustrating. If you genuinely want to wear the dress you already have, can you revisit that idea? Why let your mom have an opinion about this at all? YOUR opinion is the most important one here.

Your future spouse's opinion does matter of course, but maybe FS is trying to convince you to buy new because FS thinks that will make you happier. Can you explain how it would make you happiest to wear what you already own and why?

Azazie, an online store, is where I got my bridesmaids dresses but they also have bridal gowns. You can pick them to try on for $15, with free shipping. You get it for a week. They are relatively cheap to actually buy the dress too (most under $200).
