Hi guys!

FH and I went to look at this beautiful venue that we both fell in love with. However, they do host up to 2 weddings on the same day. One at 4pm and one at 6pm. They really tried to emphasize the fact that it's 2 hours apart but I can't help but feel nervous about this!

Have any of you had a similar experience? I'm leaning towards just picking the 4pm time so that I can be sure that my day won't be ruined. Opinions?

Ps. Yes we are booking early because this venue is already booked halfway through 2018. It's very popular in our area lol.

My venue does about wedding a day. Time slots for the ceremony are only a hour long.

The church is doing that and we weren't told before we booked and I only found out because I couldn't remember if I chose 3 or 330 and the secretary told me that we may lose the time that we chose and they would assign one because another couple booked for the same day. I had a bridezilla moment. Ours is at 330 and the next at 530. It makes me feel like we have to rush. If you love the venue and can handle it, you should go for it. Ive been assured that it won't be as stressful and I think it will be.

It's taking me forever to read all of the replies, sorry!

The space is for the ceremony and the reception. They have an outdoor and an indoor option for the ceremony. And the reception rooms are separate, with their own bars, bathrooms, and cocktail hour rooms. It's all separate. It's not on a different level/floor though. But they are restricted, meaning that one of the reception spaces is for 100 guest minimum and the other is 150 minimum. So maybe that'll help me keep the date to myself haha. My guest list is around 120.

I will probably just book the 4pm so that I can make sure nothing will interrupt the ceremony.

I've read tons of reviews on the place and none of them mention anything about there being another wedding there, so maybe it's really not that noticeable!

ETA: Yes, the times are for the ceremony.

My venue does this. They have two separate sides so everything is divided and you will be able to clearly tell which wedding you should be at. They also have separate restrooms which is nice. I'm not worried about it, they do it all the time.

I wouldn't worry about it, just go with the earlier time like everyone has suggested.

My venue does this, and when we were in the booking process we visited on a day when they had 2 weddings. A few things we noticed: 1. they have 1 wedding coordinator, and she was running around like crazy. 2. They staggered the start times and provided signage to direct guests to the right area. 3. The parking lot was full.

We were planning to book an earlier wedding on a Sunday, so we didn't anticipate sharing the venue on our wedding day, but it was good to see everything on a very busy day. I was nervous about the possibility of having 2 weddings at once, but after observing it we decided it wasn't a deal breaker.

At my best friends wedding, the venue actually had two receptions going on at once and aside from occasionally bumping into someone from the other wedding in the lobby, we didn't notice anythinf

I know this thread is older now but I wanted to share. I went to a wedding at a venue that had multiple receptions happening at the same time. There was no issue. They moved people from the wine hours to the reception rooms at different times. I loved the place enough that I had my own reception there. The bathrooms were shared but there were a lot of stalls so there was no issue with lines. One of my party guests apparently met a guest from another party while going to the bathroom or something, took a shine to him and brought him to reception to dance. HA. I thought it was cute. My mother did not but hey, it was my wedding. lol.

I had heard that some people at the cash-bar wedding next door did try to sneak into my friends wedding to grab drinks from her open bar but I don't know if anyone was successful.
