I had booked a venue and then was told about a week ago that they were no longer going to do my wedding since the owner of the venue who I had been in contact with was selling the property. How would you guys handle finding out that your venue is no longer accommodating you?

There was another case of such a sale shared here, maybe a couple. The sale contract could have added a requirement to allow the event to happen. Is the initial owner refunding you any payments you made? The only thing I might do is first demand any payment back or that the owner get a suitable venue arranged. I also might do a small claims case and ask for damages (like cost of other vendors who cannot change to a different venue or date). I do not know if this could be done ahead of such an event or based on the refusal to provide the venue. If might create the case while the transfer is going on, the initial owner may have to resolve it quickly. But court cases can be messy.

I was thankfully able to get my deposit back for all the trouble this is costing me, my only concern right now is I had gotten a contract for food already which im trying to figure out at the moment. It's a bit of a crisis.

It is sort of the same situation. This sale appears to be the owner's voluntary act of selling the property. I might be inclined to treat this as a breach of contract involving detrimental reliance where I would have paid a caterer for services at that venue based on the contract. It then might depend if the caterer will not or cannot accept a change of venue or if plans with that caterer just would not work out well for me. The contract with the venue could be untenable if that voluntary sale of the land happens with a contract that says the venue owner does a voluntary sale off the property.

Anyhow, these are just legal ideas I might have in mind in such a situation. Not to say what is good or right for you. Maybe the initial owner will cover some expenses or inconvenience you have encountered.
