My wedding venue was shut down (they did give a full refund) and my wedding is in 127 days. (May 27) I have no idea what to do! All creative ideas welcome.

Bottom line: I'm in AZ so the only way getting married in May was an option was to do it up North by the mountains. All venues up there are booked or don't accommodate my guest count.

I have invited 170 guests so unfortunately that limits my options.

If I just have to cancel my wedding, how do I tell people?

Can I un-invite some guests (close to 100 guests) at this point to allow me to have another venue on my date?

Help!

I had a friend who gets married in May too with a similar situation but she moved it to the Friday before her original date. Will a weekday work for you?

I wouldn't uninvite. I'd call every hall and hotel in the area. Postpone if you need to.

So sorry to hear this! My concern about you cutting your guest list is that it could make some of your guests feel like b-listers. If you have to cut, I would suggest cutting all guests besides immediate family. I hope everything works out!

Oh no, OP! That sounds like a horrible situation.

I'm having an outdoor wedding in AZ with around 170 guests too. What part of the state are you in? I just booked my venue yesterday and have been venue shopping for the past couple months. Let me know if you need any suggestions of new venues to check out if you're in the greater Phoenix metro area! You never know who might still have the availability.

And definitely check out the Phoenix Art Museum! I just went to an event there tonight for FH's work and it was fabulous! They absolutely will serve booze.

I wouldn't uninvite people, unless you cancel everything and have a much smaller event on a totally different day. Other PP's have given great suggestions, and I hope it works out for you.

I second checking out air bnb. Also check out vrbo (vacation rental by owner ). We found our venue on vrbo. A beautiful lodge on several acres right on a lake. They offer a 3 night rental that was cheaper than a day at almost every other venue we looked into.

Caitlin! Please tell me what your venue is?!

I'm loving the Air BnB idea ladies!

Kelsey, all I can say is that I've played for plenty of weddings in May and even June. You can have the ceremony outside and go inside for everything else. Just try to minimize guests being under the sun!
