I'm having such a hard time finding a venue that isn't trying to money grab me - my fiancé and I are planning to have our ceremony & reception in March 2028 in NJ with about 100-120 guests, and we're getting quotes that are generic and upwards of $20k+ for venues that are around $100-$105/pp until I inquire about off-peak season pricing... what gives? What questions should I ask prior to inquiring about hosting our wedding with these places to make sure we're not getting drained before we book for photography/videography/make-up etc?
