Dedicated December 2019

Venting

So, it is 1 am here and I just had a major breakdown. I started feeling so overwhelmed with everything. I’m graduating college next month, I’m getting married 3 days after I graduate, 9 days after that I move to a different state. Also with the holidays coming up, what was I thinking putting all this events all at the same month. I am getting so nervous with all the life changing that’s about to happen. I haven’t gotten enough sleep lately. I feel tired but I can’t fall asleep. I probably won’t be able to sleep the entire month of December lol

Thank you for reading

Smiley sad that's definitely a lot to deal with. Take a breather. I know it may be hard for you to find time for self care but even just an hour to do something for yourself would help

First, that’s absolutely a lot. Secondly, congratulations! I would try and find ways to calm my mind and alleviate the stress. Do you meditate? Use aromatherapy? Some of these things have helped me on sleepless nights. I just moved, pursuing my PhD, got a promotion and am planning a wedding. So, I get all of the anxieties. Big changes at once can definitely be overwhelming so, I try and remember the joy you’ll feel once you complete each task. Celebrate yourself. Pat yourself on the back and take long hot showers before bed. No phones. Just you and something calming!

That's a lot, but try to focus on the positive! You won't have to do schoolwork anymore, you're marry the love of your life, and you get to explore a new town and make a lot of new experiences. It can be overwhelming, but it sounds so exciting! Maybe try to lost all of the things your excited about. Positive thinking really makes a difference (I studied psychology). But like everyone else said, do something fun and/or relaxing, too. You've got this!

Wow that’s a lot. Sounds like you need a good day at the spa for some alone time. Lots of deep breathes along the way. Congratulations on everything.

Wow wow wow. That is definitely a lot to deal with. I am so sorry. Take it one day at a time, I’ve been there before and that’s always the best. And remember that all of those things (at least 2/3) are hugely positive, happy things!!

I feel your pain. I am graduating in December, move across the country April 1st, we are finding a house when we get there and then getting married on April 23rd in a different state. Not much time for me to look for work or settle in to a new home before my then husband leaves for deployment. I am here to tell you that everything will be fine. Change is good. It teaches us to adapt and overcome. Start making a bucket list for your new state. Do fun things with friends while you are still home. Plan your next life goal. Keep visiting family. Overall, just continue to better yourself. If you turn your focus to something else, then you will be much more likely to go at this with a different approach. Your energy will be spent on something positive verses overthinking an already stressful situation.

I'm sorry... You definitely need to get some sleep!!! What works for me may not work for you BUT I would recommend finding an Asian massage place get the 60-90 min massage. Do it at the end of your day so you can just go home and go to bed. I find myself lying awake at night freaking out about planning our wedding, money, all the diy projects that I think I can get done to save money, in addition to my everyday life stuff... I'm also a spiritual person. I pray alot! I give all my stress and worry up to God and ask in return for peace, calm & focus... Hang in there sweetie, everything will be GREAT!!!

My parents did a timeline similar to yours and they are still together 42 years later. Take a breath and just know you will be a beautiful, educated bride in a few months. Enjoy it because it will be January in no time. You totally got this!!!

I feel you girl! I'm taking my nursing boards next month and though my nupitals are about 8 months away, i'm finding it hard to keep my wits about me between planning and studying but just try to remain positive, mediate, take a deep breath and just remember you got this! Smiley heart

Congrats and calm down. Take a breather and it’s going to be okay. I too am in a similar position and I finally started asking for actual help and remaining calm and I try to remember the bigger picture. It’ll all work out and it’ll be perfect!! Congratulations again and best to you!
