VENT: Elopement Stress!!!

So as some of you may know, my FH and I are scheduled to elope next month. Even though it's planned, we're calling it a elopement because it's going to be my two close girl friends as our witnesses, a photographer, and our officiant. My girl friends and I have been inseparable since elementary school and have gone through everything together. A couple months ago, they've developed some issues and are no longer on speaking terms. After 23 years of friendship, everything falls apart right before my elopement. Now they're both trying to get me on their side and I'm trying to stay neutral because I love them both and can understand both points of view. But they refuse to be in the same room together and both want me to un-invite the other to my elopement, which I refuse to do.

I just contacted our officiant to see if she can meet with us next weekend for a "true" elopement, with 2 strangers as witnesses. Wedding drama is unavoidable no matter how small the wedding!!!

Oh no! I'm sure you were thinking that eloping would AVOID the drama! I hope they work it out, i would be devastated if my bff and I had a falling out We've been best friends for 20 years!

That sounds horrible! What about the photographer being witness and not invite either?

I'm sorry that this is all happening right before your wedding, but I think you are doing the right thing by not getting in the middle.

Thank you for all the kind words. I've been so stressed about the situation I can't sleep through the night. It goes beyond the wedding, of course, because life is going to be different without the three of us being best friends. At least both of them still want to stay friends with me, but it still won't be the same.
@Sparkles - We won't have an official photographer with us now, because my friend's husband was our photographer, so we'll just have one of our new witnesses bring a camera. We're trying to figure out two neutral people who are reliable but not affiliated with the previous guests. Sometimes, officiants will provide witnesses, but ours doesn't, so that's what we're working on. Our date is rescheduled for next Saturday.

FFW - We're getting married on the beach in Long Branch NJ, the same place we had our first date and where he proposed. It's the same plan we originally had, just sooner with different witnesses.
