I go in for my first real alterations appointment tomorrow and I'm losing my shit in a way i havent over any damn thing in this wedding. I am sitting here crying about this and i feel crazy.
i look at pics of my dress online and i feel like i am nuts. its literally NOTHING that i wanted. why the hell did i pick that dress? the more i think about it, the more i realize i caved to pressure from my mom and sales consultants. I had tried on other dresses i loved, but my moms reactions made me feel so pressured. The waist is too low, its ivory (i wanted a fully blush dress) the neckline is shapeless and unflattering. The shop claims all of this can be corrected - we can add blush tulle, alter the waistline and neck.
But I just want to throw up when I think about the amount of money spent on a dress i absolutely hate. the bodice will still be shapeless and ivory and covered in ugly, cheap looking lace, and ill be paying probably 600 in alterations. Anyone else have this issue?
