Vendor with no reviews

Vendors do need to actively promote themselves to receive reviews on The Knot/Wedding Wire and they have to pay a recurring fee to keep their reviews on the site. Some vendors have chosen not to maintain their accounts right now because of covid (it can be hard to justify that expense when most of your events have been cancelled or scaled way down for an entire summer).


I'd be hesitant to work with someone who didn't have any reviews if I didn't know anyone else they'd worked with and/or they didn't communicate effectively and consistently after I reached out to them, but I wouldn't rule out a vendor solely for a lack of online reviews.

I hired a videographer and a caterer that didn’t have reviews when I started planning but only because they came highly recommended by my other vendors.
