Vendor Timeline(s) - Do They Need Them?

Am I the only one that is planning on creating timelines for each of my vendors? I just realized that I've only seen posts about timelines for the day of, but nothing else. Is it overkill for me to separate the day of timeline and break it down for each vendor (Officiant, MC, DJ, Reception Hall...

I just realized that I've only seen posts about timelines for the day of, but nothing else.

Is it overkill for me to separate the day of timeline and break it down for each vendor (Officiant, MC, DJ, Reception Hall Coordinator, Caterer, Cake Chick)?

Yes or no, and why or why not? I'm looking at my checklist and wanting to cut some fat off of it.

I have one timeline that I used for everyone (photographer, videographer, DOC). They can pick and choose what they need out of it.

I didn't have a DJ, but it's important to create one for them too.

I didn't have a timeline for my vendors I knew when they were arriving but honestly that was the furthest thing from my mind. Saw my cake lady stop by and talked to the DJ before I started getting ready, didn't see my caterer show up but heard he was there

I'm just giving the vendors their time to show up. I want the DJ&MC to coordinate with the photographer.
