On September 14th I met with a local florist who had wonderful reviews. I emailed her before that to set up a consultation at noon. My fiancé and I show up there at noon and there door is locked... Bad first impression. So I call her and she says she was on lunch and would be on her way.
When she arrives she asks various questions and what my budget is. I told her $600, because flowers are not that important to me. So she tallies everything up and tells me that it costs $1,100 so far without the ceremony flowers. I understand that my budget is tight for flowers, but she should've worked within it. I was annoyed that she went so far over, another red flag. So my fiancé and I agreed to raise our budget and we finalized what we wanted and paid a $400 deposit. She said she would email me tomorrow with the receipt and contract. Well tomorrow came and no email.
