Vendor meals

I contacted my venue today to ask about vendor meals. They said I can either add them to my guest list and they can go through the buffet line or I can purchase a box meal for them, which includes a sandwich, chips, apple, and cookie or brownie. I contacted my venue today to ask about vendor meals. I was really expecting them to offer a plated dinner option but these were the only choices. As of now, we're already over our guest limit and the venue charges $90 pp over our limit of 100 people. I'm planning to provide meals for 6 vendors so id like to keep the costs down, but i also want to host them properly. What should i do? What is typically expected for a vendor meal?

If your not getting married until March, then how do you have final counts? I'd just plan on them for the buffet and do the list accordingly.

I would say get them the same meal as everyone else.

@kimmyinjapan I'm sure she's talking about her guest list. You should plan for 100% attendance, so if her guest list is over 100, then she's over 100.

It sounds like I need to talk to my venue. Yes, they're doing the catering. It's at a country club so I'm wondering if they can do a hot plate from their restaurant. And yes, the $90 includes an open bar, so they should at least take money off for that.
