Velvet tuxes? Or colored tux??

I'm a fan of classic black or lately, the navy blue ones.

My FH will be in a dark blue tux.

I'm a fan of midnight blue tuxes (under dim ballroom lights they actually look darker than black). But as an avid reader of Town & Country and one who has an entire Pinterest board dedicated to black watch plaid, I'm going to echo @muriel's suggestion.

My FH bought his velvet tux jacket from SuitSupply (online as a store is not near us). His is a "midnight brown" - it pretty much looks like a very dark gold/blackish velvet. I love it!
