Velvet Napkins?

I've never used them, but as a guest, I would probably be uncomfortable using a velvet napkin. I'd feel like I was wiping my face on someone's dress or something.

Hard pass.

I had thought about ordering velvet napkins as well! They are beautiful and unique, and fit our theme perfectly. But, when I thought about using them, I just kept imagining whatever you wiped on them would just be pushed around on the surface of them since velvet is really not absorptive. In the end I passed on them and opted for cotton instead.

I think they’d look great!!! But if I were to use them in my wedding, I’d only want one side to be velvet (for the visual table decor)... with the backside being a regular cotton napkin for practical use.

I definitely think napkins are not a place to go "style over substance". Napkins serve a purpose and being only pretty to look at is not one of them.

Ha! This made me laugh out loud at work! And I agree. Plus, the texture of velvet makes me cringe - I'm squeamish just thinking about wiping my face on one. No thanks.
