Velvet bridesmaid dresses?

Anjeline, on October 31, 2019 at 1:56 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 19
Anyone have suggestions to finding velvet bridesmaid dresses that aren’t $300? I’ve found them online (Jenny Yoo) but I’m not making them pay for that! They’re also all across the USA so something anyone can get anywhere. Thanks!

I’m so excited for velvet dresses. I want one for my BMs. Anyway, Desin Cotoure in Etsy/Instagram is credible. Klienfield Bridal and David’s Bridal also have them too.

Those are the exact same dresses I wanted, but same I felt guilty so I picked something else. These are the ones that I picked. They look like velvet but I guess they aren’t. But I love them so much and they are only $65.00!!

I’m in the same boat. I was set on velvet but everything was so expensive. I ended up finding 2-3 Etsy shops that sell well-reviewed velvet dresses: Renz Rags, Renz Bridal, and Valdenize. The pic is the Valdenize dress.

I’m not sure if I’m comfortable ordering a dress through Etsy, so I may give up on velvet.

Davids Bridal also has evening gowns in velvet, you may want to check them out. I would totally go with them but they don’t come in the color I want.

Good luck! Let us velvet lovers know if you find anything!

I was in a wedding a few weeks ago and we did velvet bridesmaid dresses. We all got different dresses from Nordstrom.

What about faux velvet? Is that a thing? You know, fabric that looks like velvet, but isn't. If that exists, I would think it's probably cheaper than real velvet.

Thank you! I’ll keep looking. It’d go so well with our theme and look so I really don’t wanna give it up haha. But we will see if anyone finds anything! I appreciate your help everyone! If anyone else has anything please let us know!

Lulus! They can buy, try on and return. I think even some Nordstrom’s carry a few Lulus items if they want to try on to get a feel for the sizing.
I searched velvet here, but you’ll need to filter for dresses:

Hi Kelly! I’m thinking of having my bridesmaids wear velvet but my wedding is in September in Georgia so I’m concerned they’ll be too warm. How was your experience wearing the dress? Were you really warm dancing?

It may be too late to answer you now. But for someone who saw this question and want to get a recommendation, I have 3 stores to recommended to you:

No 1: Shop Revelry Velvet Dress , average price $185.

No 2: cocomelody velvet dress , average price $139

No 3: Alfabridal Velvet dress . average price $99. (The price is cheap, but the quality is amazing!! The dress doesn't look cheap at all.)

Thanks! I actually found the last two as well but haven’t found anyone who ordered from them. Have you actually ordered and seen the dresses? I looked at Alfabridal and it literally says in their “about us” that the quality isn’t great because it’s cheap lol and I never found anyone who ordered from cocomelody

My friend bought this one: https://alfabridal.com/collections/velvet-bridesmaid-dresses/products/v-neck-cowl-velvet-sleeveless-long-bridesmaid-dresses

At only $79.2 and plus an expedited fee $15, totally $94.2. I think this dress is nice and the price is nicer hahaha.

As far as Cocomelody, there a ton of reviews on Reddit that people say they higher quality than Azazie at the same price (with same try at home program) but they also brick and mortar stores which the others don't.

How was wearing velvet? My wedding is in October ‘23 and I love the velvet look but my crew are PARTIERS. Lol. I don’t want them to be too hot.
