Veils are sooo expensive

Sara, on June 15, 2019 at 3:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 20
So I tried on a beautiful chapel length veil from David’s bridal at my dress fitting yesterday. I knew I wasn’t planning on buying one there because they’re so expensive, but holy cow! $200?! I get it, there’s a lot of delicate work that goes into making it (this one had some beading on the trim), but I can’t justify spending that on something I’ll wear for pics and a 15 minute ceremony. Where did you find your veil? I’ve been on amazon and Poshmark so far

I feel your pain. The one that was actually designed to go with my dress is $700. Ridiculous!!!!

This is my issue! The one at DB is super expensive. I was going to buy online but my dress is not white, but an ivory sand color. Needless to say, finding veils that color is a little difficult. I may try a consignment place like someone said or see if my seamstress can use the extra fabric to make one.

I’m in the same boat! My dress is champagne with an ivory overlay. A consignment place is a good idea though, at least then I can actually see it before I buy it. Thanks! And good luck to you!

Etsy is amazing! I got my sweep length for under $40 from Bridals by Teri. So soft! Also heard great things here from Blanca Veils.

My sis got hers from lightinthebox and it was perfect. Think it cost her $11. Be aware that if you’re ordering from there, use a throwaway email address because you’ll never get off their mailing list!

Mines from amazon! It’s very basic no beading or lace and it was $14 I believe

I fell in love with a beaded veil at the bridal shop but I couldn’t bring myself to spend $200 on it (especially since I went over on my dress by about that much) so I found one on amazon that looks EXACTLY the same for $45 i know you can find them even cheaper on there but this was a literal perfect match so I went for it and I’m so happy with it!

I just ordered mine from Bridals by Teri. She has great reviews, and I was able to get samples first to make sure I picked the right color.

I got mine off Amazon. It is a 2 tier fingertip length veil with beaded trim for $50. The bridal salon wanted $300 for the same veil as single tier.

Look at either Amazon or Etsy. I got mine from Amazon but ultimately changed my mind.

Amazon...I found the same veil that David's Bridal wanted $150 for $30.
