Veil

This is probably a dumb question.. but if you purchased your veil after you found your dress, did you take your dress with you to go veil shopping? Or just have a picture for reference? I would hate to get something that doesn’t show off the back of my dress on accident.

I tried veils on when I tried dresses on so I knew what I wanted. I then purchased it online afterwards and took it with me to the alterations to try on together to make sure it's still what I wanted.

I purchased my veil at the same time as my dress, but am now considering purchasing a veil of a different length. I will probably end up buying one online that is similar to the one I had originally bought, just a different length, since I know generally what I want.

You could always go back to the store you bought your dress on, bring your dress with you if you already have it (or try on their sample again), and try on some different veils! Once you find one you like, you can either then look online for a similar one or buy the one from the store. I do suggest trying on at least a few with your dress to see which styles you like with the dress before you buy.

I ordered my veil online. I didn't have any concerns about accidentally not showing off the back of my dress because most veils are pretty transparent.

I bought my veil after my dress. I would suggest buying a veil online and not with your dress because you can get the same $400 veil online for $20 most of the time.

I bought my veil after my dress and just had a picture of the lace on my dress so i could find something similar afterwards. I didn't want to spend $300 on the veil at the boutique I got my dress from so I found an Etsy shop to custom make me one and it's stunning and it was only $78! Smiley smile

I Purchased my veil after my dress. I am having one custom-made, so I sent the designer pictures and measurements of my dress to ensure the appliqués are in the right place and it is the correct length. If you decide to buy something already made, you could always go back to the store where you purchased your dress (or another store that carries it) and just try on the sample with veils.

I tried on a few veils at the bridal shop so I knew what I wanted. I’m so glad I did because I always wanted a cathedral length veil but it really hid the details of the bottom of my dress. The designer of my dress recommended a shoulder or finger tip length. So then I had to go online and try to find a veil that matched my dress color, champagne. I just got my dress in and the veil looks perfect with it.
