Veil

Irma, on July 1, 2020 at 12:47 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18
So I bought a small veil, but went into wedding pictures on google. Well, I fell in love with the look of a big veil. Anyone else? I mean I plan to use both the big veil for the church and smaller one for the reception. I hope it’s not a bad plan to do. Lol

I'm debating the same thing right now! I bought a fingertip-length veil, though recently decided that I like how the longer veils look. My dress has a very detailed, beautiful train on it, and I don't want the veil to cover that up. So I'm trying to decide whether to buy a floor-length veil (or at least one that almost goes to the floor). At the end of the day, you should wear whichever ones you feel you like best. I like your idea of wearing one for the ceremony and the other one for the reception!

You could get a waltz length veil, it hits at the back of your knees.

I got a simple cut tulle veil. I got a longer one mainly because I want all the cool veil photos lol.

Yes that’s why I wanted it longer the photos look beautiful with the long veil. I ended up purchasing the Cathedral veil. Smaller one was already purchased.

I got an elbow length two tier veil that has the capability to be used as a blusher (although as you can tell by my face in the second picture, that’s probably not going to happen lol)
I’ve seen some amazing veil pictures but honestly, I plan on taking it out after photos. I’m not that graceful and can see me getting my veil in my food or drink and then getting that on my dress.

I love it thanks for sharing. Is it traditional to wear it over? I didn’t really want it over lol well if I use the longer one I really can’t tho 🤔

I think waaaaaaay back it was common because of arranged marriages. That and the superstitions that it hid the bride from evil spirits.
But I think now it’s more of a personal preference. And I don’t like things in front of my face 😂

You do whatever you feel you would like! I think having two is great! I didn't actually think about it and now I am! Thank you! Also, are you doing two different dresses?? If you want to do the big one for the ceremony or reception and then the small for the other then I say go for it!!

If you want to wear two veils - go for it!!

I wore a finger-tip length veil for pictures and our ceremony, but then took it off for the reception!

I originally bought a chapel length veil from David's bridal, but changed my mind and bought a cathedral length veil with scattered pearls (totally matches my gown) from Etsy....so, no your not the only one. I didnt think I could afford the cathedral veils at first until I researched more.

Then perfect! You could totally do the long one for the ceremony or reception than the small one for the other that you choose! I think the photos will turn out AMAZING!!
