Hey everyone! I’m trying to figure out what to do with my veil. My dress has a very long, ruffle train. Many have told me I shouldn’t do a long veil, and I should keep it at fingertip length. I honestly can’t decide. Deep down I’ve always loved cathedral length veils, and there are ones that are longer than the train of my dress, but would it be too much? Below are photos of my dress in an actual wedding, and one of me wearing a finger tip length veil. I would love opinions, thank you!

I think it would totally be ok if your veil was longer.

I think the fingertip length complements it perfectly and looks beautiful; I personally agree that you don’t want to compete with the drama of that train! But if your heart really wants a long long veil, do it! Your wedding attire is one of the few wedding planning areas where you get to be 100% self-centered and indulgent in your decisions. It doesn’t matter what we think if YOU love it’

I think the fingertip length veil compliments your dress very well. I would fear that a cathedral length veil would compete too much with your train. But if you have your heart set on cathedral length, go for it!

I think the fingertip length veil is perfect with that dress. You don’t want to overwhelm the detail of your train.

Your dress is so beautiful Brittany!! I actually think it looks great with the fingertip veil you have on in the photograph. The train is so spectacular that you definitely don't want to cover it!

That dress is gorgeous. You don’t want to do anything to take away from that. I think the veil you have on in your picture is perfect.
