Veil with Ball Gown suggestions!

Jenny, on September 29, 2014 at 10:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

Hello all!

I have a tulle ball gown and am having a hard time deciding on a veil. I was thinking a lace trimmed veil, but don't know if that will not go together. What length is good for that kind of thing? I was thinking chapel because I do not have a train, but again, is that too much? help!

Google your gown, there might be pictures of different veils with it.

I think you might want a long veil with a ball gown. The flow will be better.

My friend had a ballgown and she had mid lenght veil with crystals...I think it matched so perfectly!

With my ball gown I got an elbow length veil, (it has rhinestones on it intermittently).

I also think you should do JC's idea and google our dress!

I'm not wearing a petticoat or anything under mine to pouf it out more and the veil is placed WAY to high on my head (it will probably be just above the nape of my neck or midway from the crown of my head to the nape) but will probably end up coming halfway from my elbow to my wrist.

Its two tiers and has some bling and pearl trim but thats it. IMO a cathedral veil looks best with a more fitted dress like a trumpet because there isn't a lot of dress the veil gives a WOW factor. With a ballgown, I think you will lose that feeling with the veil.

Cathedral veil for life. Smiley winking I love long veils (even though I have a short one) so I vote long!

I had a tulle ballgown with a lace trim, cathedral length mantilla veil. It was very dramatic in the church. a LOT of lace :-) If you are outdoors or in a smaller, non church setting for the ceremony, something shorter might be better. but whatever it is that makes you feel perfect is the right choice! when you try on your dress you should try on different style veils to see which feels and looks right
