Veil too much?

Daysi , on March 30, 2018 at 6:10 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Does the veil look okay? Or should i consider a shorter one? I wanted a long one like this but i was originally getting a mermaid type dress and now i feel like this veil doesn’t fit this type of dress since the train isn’t long enough.

If you're hemming up the dress or doing a bustle I would say that the veil may be a little too long. You can still definitely do a floor length veil but it would make a little more sense if it was proportionate to the dress hem.
If you spent a lot on that veil (I know Davids bridal marks up their stock like crazy)
I found my veil online for $20 from etsy and its honestly better quality than any that I saw at David's.

This etsy shop also offers different lengths.

    Good luck love!

I think the veil looks perfect! I wouldn’t do a short one.

I wouldn’t shorten it at all! I think it looks beautiful with that length train and it makes the lace stand out in the veil! You will likely take it off for the reception too so you don’t have to worry about it looking awkward over a bustle or anything. The dress is beautiful!

I think you would be better off going with a shorter one.

I have a cathedral veil with my A-line dress that has a similar shape to yours and I love the way it looks. I got it mostly for the pictures we'll take of it blowing in the wind Smiley smile

I think it looks pretty. Keep in mind, you most likely won't keep the veil on for the reception, it will be for the ceremony and pictures. Try on a shorter or different one with your dress on. From the picture looks like your dress is satin (and very classy I might add) so the lace trim on the veil looks nice.

The veil is very pretty but personally I think with that kind of dress a fingertip veil would look nicer and not take away from the details of the dress.
