Veil over face or not while walking down the aisle

Ashshaw2022, on May 18, 2020 at 7:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

I have always loved the veil over the face while walking down the aisle , now I am questioning it, I was just wondering if that look was still in style, or does it take away from seeing the groom for the first time ?

If you like it, it shouldn’t matter if it’s still in style or not 😉. It was and it is still a tradition in many culture as a symbol of purity (bride still virgin).

It’s totally up to you and what you want! I love the drama of lifting a veil from the bride’s face. However, I bought my veil to match my dress and it didn’t come in that style so I couldn’t do it.

I like the drama too. But my preference was for my guests to see my face and my groom to look me in the eyes while I walked down.

If it's a neat tradition to you, do it! It may be nice because it's NOT done so much anymore.

I’ve never seen anyone wear a blusher in real life but if you want to then go for it!

It isn’t really currently “in style” but I don’t think that should matter if you want to do it! Things like this are just trends.

I am not a fan of the “first look” trend, which like EVERYONE seems to do now. So just because something is trendy (or isn’t trendy) doesn’t mean you should/shouldn’t do it.

Personally I did not want a veil covering my face because honestly, I looked freaking fantastic and didn’t want my face to be covered 😂 I probably will never look as good as I did that day, so I wanted everyone (especially my husband!) to see me, and for there to be as many photos as possible :p

But if it’s something you’ve pictured yourself doing and you want to, by all means do it!!

I’ve never seen anyone do it in person. I’d be concerned it would stick to your lipstick.

I’ve never seen it done at a wedding I’ve attended, but I think it looks sooo beautiful in photos! If you love it, you should do it!
