Veil or Tiara

Terrica , on February 19, 2019 at 10:25 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18
Ok guys! I said yes to my dress about a week ago. Yay, that’s awesome right?! Well while I was trying my dress on, I also tried a veil. Before I even had my dress, I knew I did not want a veil, it just wasn’t my style! But after trying it on, I really liked it but then I had the idea of a tiara instead! I’m so confused on which would be a better fit. The back of my dress is sheer and I don’t want the veil to take from it and I know the tiara want. Which do you guys prefer? Veil or tiara?

Is there any reason you don't want to do both? A sheer veil won't hide the back of your dress, and you can take it off for your reception. Do you have a picture of your tiara to share with us?

Congratulations on finding your dress! From what I can see, it looks beautiful. I also didn't want a veil but ended up falling in love with one once I had my dress on… I plan on only wearing mine for the ceremony and ditching it for the reception, so maybe this can be an option for you as well?

Congrats on finding your dress! That is a wonderful feeling!!! The back on the dress is AMAZING! I love it! I don't think a veil will cover up the design or even take away from the design of the back. I would do both. Maybe veil for the ceremony and tiara for the reception?

I didn't want a veil. But my mom told me "you only get one chance to wear one," and that really sunk in. You could wear a veil for your ceremony, then take it off and wear a tiara for your reception....that way you get both! Smiley smile

I was never crazy about veils but I felt like I looked more like a bride after trying one on. I am wearing a tiara and a veil.

    I'm wearing both!
I think your dress would look great with a simple veil.

Do both!! I was like u and was adamant that I did not want a veil but always knew I wanted a tiara. Well while choosing my dress I tried on a rhinestone cathedral veil with a tiara and it was a done deal.

Why not both? You can always have a shorter veil so your dress isn't covered and the tiara will help keep it in place without needing so many clips and bobby pins (which might mess up your hair)

You could do a tiara with a short veil or do something like a birdcage veil that covers your face and not your back. However you can also just wear the veil during the ceremony and then have it off for your reception.

I love your dress, Terrica! The buttons and detailing on the back are so pretty! Agreeing with the above comments, I would go with a simple sheer veil! You could always take it off for the reception and just keep the tiara on! Do you know how you are styling your hair yet?

Personally, I wouldn't do a veil with your dress. It has a gorgeous back and I'd show it off.

I would go with both. Even if the dress has a nice back, it’s something you can show off at your reception when you take the veil off.

I'm with the majority! I'd do both.... I am doing both.
Your dress is gorgeous, I think the sheerest of veils would only add to it and make you look even more amazing.

The back of your dress is absolutely gorgeous! I would just do the tiara.
