Veil or no veil?

Shireen, on September 11, 2019 at 6:01 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 35
Are you ladies wearing a veil or not? I have never wanted to wear one and with my headpiece I was thinking it may be too much. My mom wants me to wear one and I tried on a few and although I like them I am not sure that it goes with my look...another something to figure out.

One thing I keep reading on here, mainly from photographers is "I've never met a bride who regretted her veil, but had many who regretted no having one". I don't know myself if I'll be wearing a veil, but I did buy one just in case. Either way though, I do plan to use it as a photo OP even if I decide not to wear it.

I'm pretty sure I don't want one. However, I might ask to try one on when my dress arrives just to solidify that I really don't want one.

I will be wearing one. I just feel like it really completes that bridal look for me. Something else to consider is that you can always take the veil off and you font need to get a veil that covers your face if you dont like that. I dont like that either so mine will be in the back the whole day.

I wasn't going to wear one. My mom was insistent on me wearing her veil so I told her I flat wasn't wearing one to get out of it. I wore her veil when I married my now ex husband so there was NO way I was wearing it to marry my new husband. She was pretty upset that I was so against it and didn't understand how I wouldn't want to wear anything I wore in my first wedding...bang head here....

So after I was dead set against one because of her I was bored at work and was in the clearance area of the DB site and came across this veil which I instantly feel in love with. My dress had only ivory/clear sequence so basically bling was non existent. I got a belt with bling but the wedding was in Vegas and I wanted more lol. This veil just was too perfect not to get.

I was really glad I went with a veil. It's your one time you get to wear one!

Also most brides only wear the veil for the ceremony and take it off for the reception so you could always do that. I kept mine on all night even when walking the strip in Vegas just cause I loved it so much lol

I thought it would be my only opportunity to ever wear one and so I think I might as well! It’s only for the ceremony. I am using my moms.

I always said I didn’t want a veil either. But then I put on a cathedral length and fell in love! But it’s ultimately your choice whether you want one, feel comfortable in one and all that

I love this veil! Mines cathedral length and has lace appliqués on it. Little Lilly’s, but I’m definitely big on bling!

I didn't think I wanted one until they "jacked" me up when I was choosing my dress. Lol now I'm fairly certain I want one.

I am not wearing one. Instead I bought a bridal belt with a lot of bling on it that I’m going to wear as a headband, and tie it so the strings hang down my back (they’re an ivory tulle-like material). We’re getting married on the beach, so aside from wanting to keep it casual I didn’t want to have to worry about the wind blowing a veil the wrong way.

I always said I wouldn’t wear one, then when I was buying my wedding dress I fell in love with the veil they put on me. I’m still wearing a hair piece, but the hair piece goes in the front like a headband and the veil is very subtle so I don’t think it’ll be too much.

I am wearing a veil but I have always known that I wanted to wear a wedding veil. A friend of mine wore fur trimmed wedding cape with a hooded cloak that one of the other bridesmaids got her as a wedding gift instead of her veil and she hasn't regretted that decision

I am wearing one but won't be covering my face. I really feel like the veil takes my bridal look to the next level.

I didn't wear one, mostly because I didn't want to pay for one. I had a few family members ask before hand if I was wearing one, but nobody said anything the day of. If you already have a headpiece, I'd say just wear that and you'll be fine!

I will be wearing a veil. It doesnt cover my face. It matches my dress beautifully. It makes my dress look complete.

I'm not wearing one. I'm going to have hair down in mermaid waves with flowers woven in.

I want a bridal forest fairy look. Lol whatever THAT means.
