Veil or No Veil

While buying my wedding dress I tried it on with and without a veil. While I liked the look of the veil I ultimately decided it wasn’t worth the money as it would be taken off after our 20 minute ceremony and pictures. Granted the veils I was trying on were very expensive, I’m now having second thoughts. I’m definitely going to have some sort of hair comb or piece to jazz up my hair but I’m wondering what others opinions are. If you did not wear a veil, did you regret it?

    Veils in bridal salons are very expensive so I can't blame you. I feel very bridal with the veil on, so I ordered a beautiful one off Amazon for $20. There are several beautiful options online that are a lot cheaper than the bridal salon.

    Etsy! They have gorgeous veils for way cheaper than a salon or even David's Bridal (where I tried on a veil that was beautiful but not for $180).

    Also, I feel you on the whole not wanting to wear it all night thing. That's been my debate with a veil, and I'm thinking I'll wear something in my hair too.

    I didn't wear one.
    I didn't like the way it looked on me. So instead I bought a bedazzled head band I wore the entire time. I liked it way better. I even tried on those birdcages and didn't like it on me either.

    Yeah I’m thinking I may order a cheaper one online and if I don’t end up wearing it then it won’t be a big deal in terms of money.

    I'm opting out of a veil as well- I can't stand having things on my head or near my face.

    I was in a wedding in 2017, she didn't wear a veil and doesn't regret it. I am, but it was super important to me to wear one.

    I didn’t wear a veil but instead put some sparkly hair pins in my hair. I didn’t regret it one bit.

    I tried on a vail when I was dress shopping and i absolutely hated it. I have really sensitive skin, and I’m very ticklish. And it was so uncomfortable, scratchy, and itchy. I decided to ditch the vail and I ordered a beautiful crystal and pearl tiara to wear instead. I’m so happy with my choice.

    I know some brides that didn't wear veils, but it is super important to me! I'm wearing a beautiful custom-made cathedral veil. You can find cheap ones on FB Marketplace and Amazon, though!

    You can easily find a beautiful affordable veil on Amazon for less than $30!

    I tried on veils with my dress the day I purchased it, but the hairstyle I wanted didn’t really go well with a veil. Instead I bought a headband to wear with my side swept hairstyle. It turns out wearing a veil didn’t really matter to me.
