Veil options

Lené, on August 6, 2019 at 4:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Hi ladies. I have a very extra two tier cathedral veil for my ceremony. I've never attended a wedding and cannot find online if I'm supposed to wear the veil over my face when I walk down the aisle and then my groom takes it off my face. I have seen a video clip where the bride walked down the aisle with it off and then the groom pulled it over her face at the alter when the dad gave her away and now I'm confused. What are your recommendations/ what are you doing with your veil for your ceremony?

You can do whatever you want. I've never seen a groom put the veil down over the bride's face though. These are the three most common options.

1.) wear it down, your father (or whoever is walking you down the aisle) lifts it before giving you away

2.) wear it down through the entire ceremony and the groom lifts it before the first kiss

3.) don't wear the blusher at all

You can do anything you want. But I'd advise against doing what you saw in that video. Lol.
You can wear it the whole thing back if you prefer.

My veil was cathedral length but it clipped into the back of my hair and didn't go over my face. I wore it for ceremony & pictures then took it off for the reception.

It's up to you! I have a simple veil, so wearing part over my face isn't an option. Even if I could, I wouldn't wear it over my face because it seems a bit archaic to me
