Veil length with Ballgown dress

I think the most important factor is the length of your train, not the style of the skirt.

I am wearing a tulle ball gown and will be wearing a waltz length veil. It goes just past my knees. I loved the length with out it being crazy long like a cathedral length veil.

It all depends on what looks best to you. With a ball gown and no train, I’d probably do a cathedral veil with some embellishment on it. But you could also do a fingertip veil, or waltz length. If you love how it looks, that’s all that matters.

I have a ballgown and am going with a chapel length veil which is around 90-100 inches. It goes a little bit past the bottom of my dress!

I had always dreamed of a cathedral length veil to go with my ballgown. The problem was the long veil took away from the details on the back and bottom of my dress. The designer recommended elbow/ fingertip length so that the lace details didn’t get covered. Any length will look good, but it I think it all depends on the details of your dress.

This is exactly what I was told as well and to be honest it looks great!
