If you would like to wear a veil for your vow renewal, go for it! There are no rules, just person preference.

I think the veil has become a wedding tradition or even just a symbol without any relevance to past reasons for wearing one. Do as you would like.

I am very traditional, so I would think it very odd for a vow renewal….but you do what makes you happy. No judgement here, If you have older guests, they might take objection, but the younger guests could probably not care less. Good luck!
