Veil Alterations?

Hello! I am using my mom's veil as part of my wedding attire. It's a fingertip length with a floral crown piece to hold it on my head. I love every bit of it except for the pouf of tulle that sticks up behind the head. I am hoping to alter it (don't worry I have her permission) and take that piece off, or at least make it lay flat with the other tiers. Any suggestions? I've attached a picture that looks similar to my mother's veil.

    I'm not seeing a picture but I agree that a seamstress can let you know if they can alter it. Their only concern may be if it's super delicate from being older/vintage.

    I'm also not seeing a pic, let me know if you're having trouble attaching it and I can help. But I'm sure the top floof can be either removed or sewn/steamed into the rest of the veil.
