For any vegetarians out there, what would you like to eat at a wedding?

We chose a Penne pesto pasta for the veggie folks plus we get 4 types of salads and roasted potatoes, mixed veggies and a rice.

I think I am going to choose the veggie entree at my wedding: spinach and cheese ravioli!

Yea i agree with the Mexican options. we're doing a fajita bar so the veggies will be sauteed, but you can add all the toppings and have rice and all the other stuff. Also for appetizers make sure you have vegetarian options and if they're not label them! I almost ate some mushrooms filled with meat at one wedding during cocktail hour because I was starving and it was dark in there and I thought the stuffing was NOT MEAT.

I'm vegetarian and a few of my guest will be too. The venue of our choice has lots of vegetarian options: that's part of why we loved this place!

I will eat meat once a month, but I consider myself a vegetarian. I prefer veg main dishes over meat, that is why I consider myself a semi-veg. I can tell this: last night we met with our caterer and vegetarian options were discussed. We had a choice of polenta tower with vegetables and cheeses in it. I think this one had a mozzarella cheese, then the other option was more like a vegetable casserole, or was called Vegetable Napoleon or something like that. It had goat cheese in it, so we picked the 1st option the polenta tower. I would like something like some sort of vegetable casserole, maybe with some cheese in it?

I always get annoyed when I go to a wedding and the meal is something that looks awesome, but the vegetarian meal is lackluster. Put the same thought into giving your vegetarian guests a delicious meal as you do the meat-eaters. The awesome thing about vegetables is - there's always something different in season! So find something that is in season where your wedding will be, and have the meal feature that! I'm southern, so fall is full of greens, squash, apples - all the makings of an awesome meal!

@Rebecca your post reminded me - make sure the caterer knows there will be vegetarians! I went to a wedding last year and there was literally NOTHING I could eat, despite the bride knowing I (a bridesmaid) was vegetarian. She looked at the menu (bbq, beans, cornbread, sweet potatoes, mac and cheese) and assumed I could eat all of those things except the bbq. She didn't clarify with here caterer that there was meat product in ALL of the sides!

Like Rosie, the vegetarian dish at our tasting was AMAZING (tomato pie with cream and onions...so good) so FH and I are gonna get one beef and one of that dish and split so we can share.

Rosie9615: that dish sounds DIVINE!!! I love squash-filled ravioli!

We are having a vegetarian wedding with at least two vegan options. It's still early for us, so we haven't really woked our menu as yet, but our chef is actually open to us giving him ideas for meals (which is awesome).

I would definitely love to eat stuffed ravioli, gnocchi with real cheese (or cashew cheese for vegans), black-bean patties, sautéed asparagus or string beans, and anything smothered in pesto sauce ;-) just to name a few.

Also, any vegetarian Mexican, Italian or Indian dish would make me happy as well.

For appetizers, I am a sucker for bruschetta, risotto bites, mini vege quiches, pizza bites, and kale rolls....the list can go on and on, but yes, I am def looooove food, and I love variety for vegetarians at a wedding. There's a lot you can go and we don't just like getting a salad for the entrée.

We chose a mushroom and leek risotto in a porcini cream sauce, French beans, and grilled vegetables. It was very well received.
