Vegas Reception 'On the Cheap'

Sentoria, on July 13, 2016 at 8:21 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Hello All!

I have reserved my wedding ceremony to be at the Tropicana Courtyard next April and while their reception packages are decent, I wanted to check and see what others have done and how it worked out for them.

One option I have looked at are In-suite receptions. My assumption is that we will have somewhere around 40 guests, based off of some of the research I've done it looks do-able.

The issue is I don't want to come out spending a ton. I'd like to keep my reception budget around 2 grand....Am I crazy ladies???

What have you all done? Or what ideas do you all have?

Thanks in advance!

$2000 for food and drink for 40 people in Vegas, plus the cost of the suite, plus tips for servers. I don't see that happening.

You might look into some caterers and see what you can get quotes on . I have researched so many different restaurants in Vegas . I think we are set on a place called strip burger it's within our budget .or possibly border grill . But strip burger doesn't have a minimum only if we reserve the outside patio area which we might end up doing depending on the number of guests . But I believe their minimum is $1500.

    Good luck !!!

I've seen this done, but they only served appetizers at the reception, no alcohol and cake. I would to say it was only two kinds of appetizers and it was only 2 hours long if pictures, talking and then they took a group with them for food after. I traveled out there, had to get a room, cab and had to feed myself... Please if you can budget more try

We took our guests to Wicked Spoon buffet at the Cosmopolitan. With dinner and drinks for 32 people, I think we spent about $2500.

A friend had her reception dinner at the Aria Buffet, with the cake and after party in a suite. The buffet was a big hit because while the wedding guests went to the same buffet line as the other restaurant patrons, Aria set her group up in a private seating area. By having your dinner at a restaurant, you don't have any worries about clean up.
