Van life honeymoon?

I think you could plan it like a regular vacation and then just do a few extra nice/expensive activities you wouldn’t normally splurge on with a regular vacation.


I would check if you have to reserve a spot at a Rv/van campsites you plan on parking at and see if there are showers and bathrooms available too? I’ve never done it but I would love to and I think this would be a fantastic honeymoon!!!

Getting campsites is a bit tricky in those national parks because some spots are reserve ahead and booked way out in advance and then other spots are first-come/first serve and you have to get there super early in the morning and just cross your fingers. We did not get the spots we wanted a few nights and dispersed camped, but I’m not sure how easy that would be to do in a van. So just do your research and planning ASAP. We actually just booked our rooftop tent vehicle to do our camping-honeymoon in Costa Rica, so I’m all for your idea!
