USPS & Cursive?

Amoura, on July 18, 2012 at 11:33 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

So I'm getting ready to send my invites out, I just have to do the envelopes. I'm printing them, but I want to use a fancy font.

This is the font I used in my invitations: http://www.dafont.com/chopin-script.font

Do you think that I can send that through the mail or will the postal service not be able to read it as well? I think it's readable, but do they accept things like that?

You will be fine. Be absolutely certain the zip codes are legible, and the numbers in Chopin will be fine.

When addressing envelopes, whether printed or with calligraphy, I even like to make the zip code a centered, last line so that it stands out and is clear.

As long as the numbers are legible it's fine. I actually usually write in cursive, and have never had a letter come back yet because of it.

This is the envelope from the letter I'm writing to DH right now. If this gets through regularly, I don't see why your font wouldn't. Don't worry about it ;D

I think you chose a pretty legible typeface. Just make sure it doesn't print too small.

This font is very readable. Like the other ladies said, make sure the font is not too small and the numbers are clear.
