Using Business Cards In Invites for Website Information

Using Business Cards In Invites for Website Information 1 Using Business Cards In Invites for Website Information 2

Another question about invitations Smiley smile. I just added everything up - invitations, RSVPs, a separate "information" card with website information and belly bands...it is ridiculous. The "gift registry" cards I converted into "website information" cards were $150 alone. I saw someone mention this, but would going to Vistaprint and using a business card instead look tacky?

I attached the pictures of both the business card and invitation. As you can see, they don't match exactly, but it will save me a lot of money. I could also try to find something that matched better.

Thanks everyone!

We combined a bunch of items together to cut costs. We put the info that would usually go on the 'information card' on the back side of the invite along with the wedding website info. It saved us quite a bit of money, plus then the invites are lighter and less likely to need extra postage.

I'd definitely try to match the fonts better if you're going that route however I don't think business sized cards looks terrible. We will be adding them into invites of our out of town guests because 70% of our guests are out of state. It'll direct them to our website for booking blocked hotels and recommendations of things to do.

What is the cost savings? I would probably just get an insert. Your invites look SO nice I would want everything to match. You don't put registry info in your invites, just on your website, so that will save you some $$$ Smiley smile

We did this...it worked out well. Don't worry about them matching perfectly - no one cares.

Thank you. It looks kind of funky after we personalized them with our information...but I love the design. I am saving $150 like I said...might be even more than that.

Opps, I didn't clarify. I meant to say we converted what was supposed to be a gift registry card into a website card. They do not have a specific card for website information yet. So, the only insert would be that card with our website information. I am trying to avoid registry cards and accommodations cards by giving them the website to look at. I am only getting actual invites like pictured above and RSVPs.

I’m just going to print our own insert with the info. Get some stock paper and make them look decent.

I think you will be fine if you just pick a closer font! It isn't tacky to use a business card. You could even use a vistaprint post card for more room!

It will look tacky is not exactly the same paper/print. Can you add the address to the reception card?

I used reception cards and changed the wording. I used minted.com and got them on a very good sale. Check them out!

I got mine off Etsy. I got a template and did the wording myself. Printed it at home, make belly bands myself and bought stamps and envelopes. I got invitation, details card, RSVP (that I also used for day after brunch and day after brunch RSVP) for $40. The paper cost $20 for 50 sheets and two or more print in a piece of paper. It was so much cheaper to do if that way.

I would also give them information in the physical form for any guests who won’t go look at the website.

I am not doing a reception card. I mentioned all of this in the actual post. My reception and ceremony are in the same place. I literally would just have invites and RSVPs if it were not for this extra card just for website details.

I did vistaprint for STD, Invites, and then i used a business card template that matched the Invites that had our RSVP information.

Highly, highly recommend. i think it was $20 for 100 business cards printed like the invites. it's simple, fits in the envelope, and doesn't add any extra postage.
