Ushers..... yes or no

Ti'Anna, on May 16, 2020 at 10:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
So my fiancé and I have finally decided who will walk our grandmothers in for the ceremony. My grandfather will be walking me in that’s why my grandmother will need an escort now. Should our escorts match the groomsmen or can we do something as simple as dress pants, shirt or tie? Should I have them wear a jacket as well? I want them to look nice as well.

I think theirs can be simple or match the groomsman, either or will be fine but I would probably just go simple

I was thinking simple as well but I wondered did it have something to do with the formality of the wedding.

I'm having both of my brothers girlfriends be ushers at our wedding, and the elderly that they were supposed to escort aren't even coming now so I have no idea what to do with them 😆 ..they are wearing similar colors as the bridesmaids but something less fancy. I want them to look important but not like they are part of my actual bridal party

I'd ask them what they have - I wouldn't ask them to rent a tux or anything for that. Maybe find something that you think looks nice, but also keeps them from spending too much money on a rental?

They can match if you choose or wear a nice Sunday suit. Often the groomsmen do double duty as ushers.
