Ushers same bow tie as groomsmen?

Allie Marie, on April 4, 2017 at 12:38 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I can't seem to find the answer to this one.. Groomsmen will be wearing tuxes and a specific checkered bow tie. I'm going to be custom ordering these bow ties soon.. (picture attached) are ushers meant to wear the same exact thing as the groomsmen?

I've read that the ushers should rent the same tux as the groomsmen, but what about bow ties? I don't particularly want them to be in the exact same thing, but I'm unsure of the etiquette here?

This isn't an etiquette question. Pick out whatever bow tie you want for them.

Your choice! We had our ushers wear the exact same thing as the groomsmen!

The best man is wearing a gray tux w/ a gray bowtie.

My usher is wearing a gray suit with a navy tie.

Do what you want; this is a personal choice, and has nothing to do with etiquette.

Our ushers are wearing the same color tie and vest but there's has a different pattern on it.
