Ushers and Reserved Seating

Tina, on July 9, 2019 at 8:31 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 7
We are not planning on having ushers...

So do our parents just seat themselves?

Do we need to mark the 1st row as reserved and let them know that’s where they should sit?

We won’t have any ushers either, we are planning on reserving the front two rows and our family is just seating themselves.

Most people reserve the first two rows for close family. If your parents are walking in the processional, they would walk to their seats with their escorts. If not, yes, they’ll just seat themselves like everyone else.

I think your idea of marking reserved rows is a good idea!

We are marking the rows with reserved signs because we don't have ushers either. Probably only reserving the front row all the way across because we don't have too many on my side as my sister and brother are in the wedding party and the immediate family on my FH's side is enough for one row.

We are not having any ushers either. We are just planning on reserving the first two rows on each side for immediate family. Plus those that will be sitting in the reseved area will be at our reherasarl so they will know exactly where to sit the night before.

We're just going to mark the rows. We're still undecided on whether to have our parents walk down the aisle first, or just have them seat themselves, but regardless, we're not having ushers.

We are kind of having ushers but not really. We deemed 2 people ushers but literally all they are doing is walking our mothers and his grandmother to their seats. FH wanted his friends included but didn't have them as groomsmen because he didn't want too many.
