Urgent! David's Bridal Special Order dress

Can you find it in store anywhere?

Is there a store near you? you maybe able to go in and have them Rush order it for you, most places need 6-8 months but i think ladies on here have said that DB has a shorter time frame.

Davids bridal is usually really quick. Go to your local store. Call them and give them the style number they can tell you if they have it and if not what store does, unless it's an online only dress. They should still be able to help you get it ordered. I ordered a dress from DB, ended up sending it back, but the shipping was 7-14 days or something and I got it in 2 just because where I lived in relation to their warehouse.

And a side note...why did you wait this long to get a dress?

@Hannah & Surfergirl86 Yes! there is store near me, I should call them and find out if i can do that. I'm still talking about 2months turnaround so hope that works

@jilian I don't think it is online only dress.. so I will check out with the store. I just got engaged and only time all of his family in oversea can fly in is only June, otherwise it is till next year

All of my bridesmaid dresses came in atleast 4-6 weeks earlier than the expected dates. ETA: your first choice dress says it's only available online in Ivory. White is special order in store only. It shouldn't make a difference, in my opinion during my dress shopping, they steered me away from white, and most dresses in store were ivory.

I got my dress at David's Bridal. When I ordered it (in June), I was told it would be no later than September. About 2 weeks later I got an email saying that it was in.

Contact your local store and see what they have to say. Both of the dresses are beautiful

I had a special order (aka "cut to order") from DB and it came in LATER than the promised date! Someone had (wisely) advised me to fudge the wedding date and I did...otherwise the dress would have arrived a week before the wedding.

Find out if it's cut to order. That means they're sewing it for YOU -- not taking it from inventory.

It's not usual for DB to miss a deadline and they were great with me in apologizing and making it right, but it can happen. Be careful. Good luck.

For sure call/ go in and make sure that it will be in with enough time instead of chancing that it will come in early.

@LivelyBride: Thanks for the advice, i know that can happen, and I can't push the wedding date since all people in overseas are getting their flight ticket now... would store know if this is cut to order? or should i call david bridal webite?

The store would know if it's cut to order. Just don't give the store your accurate wedding date. It it's 6/27 tell them it's before that.

Ps. I do NOT advocate lying to vendors but I did take that advice for my own dress and it was helpful.

I would go to the store regardless. I can't imagine buying a dress without trying it on.

Anyways, tell them your wedding date and they will see if there's any way to get one here for you. Who knows, they may even have your size on the rack.

Yoohee, mine wasn't a special order. A lot of times Their dresses come in faster than what they tell you.

And I agree with Kristen, I wouldn't buy the dress without trying it on. You may like how it looks in the picture but not like how it looks on you.

@LivelyBride, Kristen and Ruth: Thanks so much for comment! I'm planning to going to the store today or tomorrow. I have contacted DB and they confirmed when they moved my date to May date, the expected delivery was by May which is a good news!!
