So after seeing people who I didn't know weddings live because a person on my Facebook friends list decided to go Facebook live without the couples permission, FH and I decided to have a Unplugged ceremony and a plugged in reception. after discussing this with my family , some of them feel that its not fair to them and that they should take their own pictures as well even after I assured them that I will get them copies of the pro photos. One of my cousins is notorious for going on FB live for EVERYTHING, and said that she should go on FB live during the wedding so the people who weren't invited can take in our special day too. what do you guys think???

I am thinking of doing an unplugged ceremony as well. I actually even read on here how one wedding guest went to take a pic and stood out in the aisle and tripped the actual photographer

Keep in mind that if you go FB live and use recorded music by the actual musician they may shut your live feed down due to copyright issues

Unplugged is fine, the fact that it even has to be called that is ridiculous. People should be able to put down their GD phones for 15 minutes to watch their friends and family get married.

I think you have every right to request people keep their phones away for your ceremony. I've been to weddings where the couple has specifically asked the guests to refrain from using their phones for photos during the ceremony. At all of these "unplugged" ceremonies, people have still taken their phones out to snap pictures. I find that super rude and I don't understand why people can't enjoy the moment without using their electronic devices! As far as FB Live, if they weren't invited to the wedding then why would you want them to watch it on Facebook? That doesn't make any sense.
