Upgrade?

Absolutely!!! May as well start the honeymoon off in the best way!

We didn’t upgrade to first class bC there were no seats left .. but we upgrade to the bigger seats with extra leg room and free alcohol lol.. worth every penny. So yes I’d upgrade !

For me this always depends on factors like time of day and duration of flight. I don’t find it worthwhile for a short flight or necessarily every leg of a connection or an early AM flight where I’ll just be sleeping (and not ready for bloody Mary’s 🤣)

If it’s a long flight, First Class is so worth it, if you can afford it. It’s not worth the price for short flights IMO.

So you and Broc would be paying for the upgrade, right? I say GO for it!! I'm sure if you told your parents that you'd intended to go first class for the fun of it when you were originally planning the trip that they'd understand. It's a fun moment for you two to be treated like royalty! Go for it all the way.

For me I don't think first class would be worth it unless it's a really long flight. I would rather save the money for extras while there.

Due to work, I fly on a weekly basis. Complimentary first class upgrades are nice when I get them based on my status, but I would very rarely consider paying for it. I’d only do it if it were a very long flight, and then the amount to upgrade is usually ridiculously expensive. Now, if you’re flying an airline like Delta that has Comfort+, that can definitely be worth it. You get more leg room and free drinks and the cost difference usually isn’t that much.

If the flight is over 4 hours I would dedinitely upgrade. If not, then I don't think it's worth the extra money.

hey: this is my one and only wedding for a lifetime and realistically the only time we will bring our family and friends together for an epic party to celebrate how much we mean to each other so we are going “all out” wherever the budget possibly allows and went with a “long” engagement living on a ridiculously tight budget on a day to day basis to make sure all of our first class upgrades happen

i vote you originally thought you had to budget a whole honeymoon and got the gift of a lifetime so do
it up girl!! Take that 1st class upgrade!! Maybe upgrade to concierge floor or a jacuzzi suite in hotel room too if you’re into hot tubs!
