Hi everyone,

I’m not even halfway through a 16 hr car trip. So, I need entertainment! Let me know where you are in your planning and how far you’ve got to go!

Ugh that's too long of a ride for me! I am June 2020 and today I paid off the venue!! YAY! lol. Also I am working on little things like, ordering our cake stand, reserved signs and looking into gifts. I also am working on filling in our DJ document and have to call the hotel to lock in our block.

I still have DIY things to do but I am saving those for the winter months when I'm stuck inside all the time.

I've got like all of the planning done. Or at least the majors. Right now we're just working on paying for it. Smiley smile
I just made another small payment on our honeymoon today!
Now I'm just trying to figure out how to incorporate more black into the wedding. And what the guys will wear.

Our venue, photography/videography and my dress have been booked. My venue sent me a cute little 3 ring binder bride guide to help me get things in order and when I'm done filling out the forms, they check back and we discuss everything from floral, DJ, cake/catering, etc. in FULL detail so I'm glad this venue is pretty much a one stop shop. I've done all the save the dates/invites and stuff through zazzle so I'm just waiting for the right time to order them. Still quite a few things to do but got most of the major parts out the way!

We're pretty much all set to go!

I'm now working on just paying off vendors so hopefully our final bills for our vendors won't be so bad! I'll hopefully be making a payment in September, December, February, and then pay the final bill in March - but we'll see!

The only planning I've been doing is trying to figure out bridesmaids dresses - I honestly have 0 clue what I envision them in and I need to get going on that so they can order them lol and what the guys will wear.

Then we'll just be finishing up buying our decor (not too much left to purchase, just a few vases, floating candles, and then I'm buying a few items off of a bride who's getting married next month who's having the same colors!).

I have the venue, photographer, DJ, hair person and I just booked my catering company this week and confirmed it with my venue. We had a choice of 3 catering places that are approved by my venue so it was just a matter of which one we liked best lol! I guess my mom wants to go look at mother of the bride dresses tomorrow so that will either be fun or painful. Where are you going for your trip? My FH and I drove from central Wisconsin to upstate New York (by Canada) last August that was 17 hours but we broke it up into 2 days!

I have my venue and my guest list together. In about a month, I will start looking for my photographer, dj, my dress and bridesmaid dresses. I have been looking for wedding invitations as well. Then I will take it from there.

I have all the vendors books and mostly paid, justbhave 2 or 3 more payments for the rentals and the caterer but that shouldn't be a problem. We've got a lot of diy decor on our plates right now though. I need to make the backdrop stand so I can finish the flower garland, make the aisle decor, spray paint a bunch of candle holders gold and then retouch some in antique ivory, make sure all my live flower pots stay alive in this heat wave, schedule my alterations and finish dance lessons so we can have a fantastic first dance. I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton but that's the gist of it.

We're a little less than a year out but we have almost everything picked out from catering to decor. Starting on my playlist and connecting DIY florals as I find them. Thrifting things and arguing with my retiree dad about silly things.

91 days to go. I have my dress, slip, corset bra, my bouquet, MOH & bridesmaid's bouquets. Flowers for best man, groomsman, and two future stepsons, one who is giving me away. I have my tableclothes, all but one candle holder for centerpieces, flame less tealights for them, jewels for them, candle holder for memory table, stickers to put on the bottom of hersey's kisses, decided on food, have the venue, the officiant. I have the cake ordered, I have the plates for cake, I have the plastic cups, and beverage napkins. Waiting on money to hire DJ and pay for food, waiting for shoes, fake flower petals for the tables, and my guest book to arrive from amazon. I need to figure out my hair, we need to get the tuxes. I need to pick out a flower for my FH. I need to pick up paper plates, dinner napkins, and plastic silverware. I need to pick up a flame less pillar candle for the memory vase, a collage frame for the memory table, and a few odds and ends for the sweetheart table. I need to pick up a silver chain to put the charm my late mom wore when she married my late father. I need to dig out one of his military medals, a blue one. Those two cover the something old and something blue. New is my dress. Have no clue what i'm going to borrow.

Our wedding is not until September 2020 but many big things have been crossed off the to do list including booking the church, venue, photographer, videographer, florist and djs. I have also formally my bridesmaids to stand up in my wedding. The only things left to do include book the limo, find my dress, find their dresses, and find someone for hair and make up. Feels good to be so ahead of schedule

So I got engaged July 6th and our wedding day is May 9th. I had the venue booked a week after we were engaged. I am booking the caterer next Saturday and I have the photographer booked as well. I also know who will be doing my hair for the day, I have my dressed ordered and the color schemes picked out. Both my fiance and I know who will be in our bridal party and how we are going to ask them and we also know who is going to officiate our wedding; it'll be my cousin but I just have to come up with a creative way to ask him. Currently, I am trying to figure out my flowers and the littler details like decor and songs for our first dance, my fiance's mother son dance and my father daughter dance. I kind of got a good start right away but I figured I better get a jump on things cause we only have a little under 9 months already until we say 'I do" Smiley heart Our next steps will be to "propose" to our bridal party, find tuxes for the men, dresses for the ladies, book our honeymoon and figure out what we want to do for dessertSmiley heart

So happy you asked! The best way I've figured out is this

First, you need to let them soak overnight. I soak them in my bathtub (I can fit about 25 in the tub at a time). It doesn't work as well if you only soak them for a few hours, so I recommend you do it over night.

After draining the water out of the bottles, I take a butter knife (a paint scraper would work well too) and gently scrape as much off as I can. Every label is a bit different. Some come off in one piece with no residue left over!

After scraping the majority off, I spray one layer of goo-be-gone. Then, let that bottle sit for a few minutes and work on scraping the next one. The goo-be-gone works better if it sits for a few minutes rather than spraying and wiping right away.

After the goo-be-gone sits, I take a green scrubby and wipe/scrub the remaining gunk off. Sometimes one additional spray of goo-gone is needed for more stubborn goo. Finally, I take a wet wash cloth to wipe the slimey goo-gone off! Once I'm closer to my date, I may spot check them all, but for the most part this method has them completely clean!

Wow that's a long process! Lol I found this on Pinterest and it works great! So fast! If some of the goo didn't come off, I dunked it back in the sink and used a scour pad to remove it. I did 25 bottles in a few hours!

Nice! It takes me a few hours to do about 25 as well. I only do 25 at a time because that's how many fit in my bathtub LOL It's a really good rainy day activity Smiley smile
