Unused bridesmaids dress nightmare

I have a convertible ballroom gown (retails about $300) and short of giving it away or burning it, I feel like I'm never going to get rid of this dress! I have listed it all over the internet. The best deal I've been offered is a local consignment shop, and they'll take 50% of whatever it sells for. Is that my best hope? Any advice is much appreciated!

If you haven’t already, look into local charities that collect dresses to give to special needs proms.

That had not occurred to me, that's a good idea! But being as though it needs to be altered before anyone can wear it, I'm not sure if they would want it or not. I'll check into it. Thank you!
