Unsure What to Do

Jenna, on July 29, 2020 at 6:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

Prior to ordering bridesmaids dresses, I ordered swatches to make sure I picked the color I liked the best. My sister received her dress in the mail today and after seeing it on her, I don't like the color. All of my girls have already ordered their dresses. I am not sure what to do because I don't want them to wear dresses in a color I don't like. Has anyone run into a similar problem? If so, what did you do?

You could check to see what the return or exchange policy is? If it’s free then I don’t think it’s bad to ask them to exchange or return it. But honestly for the sake of convenience I would just leave it be

Are the dresses able to be exchanged? If so, are you able to exchange the dresses for a different color? Otherwise, if they're not able to be exchanged, if it were me, I'd probably leave them as is.

Check the return policy. If you can't return, try selling it on Facebook Marketplace.

That's why trying on dresses in store is better than ordering online from a 3" swatch. Alot of colors don't work on everyone unfortunately.

Like everyone said, return the dresses if you can. You have plenty of time to order new ones. If for some reason you bought dresses from a place that doesn't allow returns, I wouldn't ask your bridesmaids to buy new dresses. So you will either need to learn to live with them or pay for new dresses yourself.

Check the return policy. If they allow it than return it but it might come with a cost. That’s what’s getting me nervous about ordering online, you just really know what’s it going to look like. Thanks for sharing your issue with this.

Sometimes, dresses can be cancelled before they even ship out. I did this with a bridesmaid dress for a friend’s wedding because I changed my mind about the color. They let me cancel it a fair amount of time after I had ordered and I was able to order the same dress in a different color.
If that’s not an option, wait to see the color on the other ladies. You make like it better on other people.
If you still hate it, see about exchanging if you have the time to go through that process.
