Hello everyone!

We want to have an unplugged ceremony, but we’re concerned about some people not seeing/ not adhering to a sign immediately outside of the ceremony. How have you all handled this? We’re debating including it in the program, and the officiant suggested that he could make an announcement (after he enters, but before the wedding party walks down the aisle). Is that weird?

Thanks!

We are having one as well. We put it on the invites and on our website. I will have the officiant make the announcement as well. Couldn’t hurt and it will really hit it home for our expectations

Is this a necessary distinction? Do that many people use their phones *during* a wedding ceremony?! (I don't mean this to sound judgemental-- just good to know for my own planning!)

Yes, based on what I’ve seen at other weddings and heard from other brides on WW. In my opinion, even a few phones or iPads in the professional photos is too many!
