Unofficially Said Yes to the Dress!!

Awww, congratulations! What dress did you get?

I actually ended up buying the first dress I tried on. It had some elements I didn't want (lower neckline than I wanted and narrow straps) so tried on about another 10-14 dresses across two stores, but ended up going back and picking that first one. I did cry - and weirdly, I always thought I'd look at myself in the mirror, and think about how this is how I'd look when my fiance sees me walking down the aisle, etc etc, and it wasn't like that at all. It was almost as if my body reacted before I had time to think any of that and I got all teary-eyed just when they shook out the big train!

I tried on about 6 at the first shop, and it was the first dress I tried on at the second. I tried on about 4-5 dresses on at the second shop but went right back to the first one because I knew that was it. I didn't cry though, I'm not an emotional person.

I went the three shops. Tried on 4 at the first one, about 10 at the second, but found my dresses at the third shop. I cried at the second shop because it was the second I had gone to that day, and the consultant wasn't taking my feedback when pulling dresses for me. That and it was just a bad day lol.

The third store was amazing and the consultant put me in two dresses that were basically the same in design, but were different silhouettes. I didn't cry, but I knew they were the ones because it was the most beautiful I've felt in years.

I had an okay experience at the shop I went to, my consultant was a little too overbearing.When I go again in September (to different shop that has a bigger selection) I’m going to try on other dresses just to really make sure, but I’m about 98% sure it’s the one! Thanks, it happens! I'm just indecisive and get overwhelmed easily when I have too many options, so that played into it lol! I'm so happy to hear that you love that dress, and think it's a smart choice to go to another store to keep an open mind! How crazy is it that our loved ones can tell what we're feeling/thinking by just the look on our face!

It's gorgeous! I also got a Mori Lee! I actually tried on quite a few and ended up with a gorgeous dress. Then covid happened. Then I lost a bunch of weight. Then my dress was too big and alterations would have cost a ton of money. So I went and a got a new dress that is way better than my other one!

I tried on 4, but not by choice. I had one going in that I HAD to put on and thought it was the one...it was not. Then I picked 2 more, one which was like glowing at me when I walked in. Literally, I was so drawn to it, I HAD to try it on. The other one I picked was similar to that second dress and the 4th one was something my mom and FMIL picked for me. I tried on the first gown and said nope. Put the 2nd one on and knew immediately it was mine. They made me try on the other 2 "for fun" and "to make sure" but I couldn't wait to put the second one back on. I did cry but only because my best friend was staring at me crying and when someone else cries, I also immediately cry lol.
