"Unofficial" Bridesmaids Gifts

Jillian, on July 24, 2016 at 10:22 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Hello! I am not having bridesmaids stand at my ceremony. We are doing a private ceremony and then a regular, backyard reception the following weekend. However, I still identified my closest friends as being my "special people/unofficial bridesmaids." I did not require anything of them but some are buying dresses in my colors and getting their hair done with me the morning of the reception. They are also participating in my bachelorette party.

I'd like to get them a little something, but I don't think it's necessary to spend too much. Thoughts on a good price range for each girl? Ideas of good gifts? My initial thought is to do personalized stemless wine glasses but I think I'd need something else to round that out. Thank you!

Etsy is a great resource to use, I have found fairly priced items for my bridesmaids via that site. Smiley laugh some can get a little extravagant but you can always filter it to your desired price range

Second Etsy. I'm curious why your reception is a week after your ceremony though? Are you doing something for your ceremony guests immediately after the ceremony?

Make gifts in a jar. Got this off Pinterest. Made these for birthays. Fill with lots of goodies and can do favorite color of each "bm"

Thanks, all! Elizabeth, yes, we are doing a dinner for our ceremony guests, as well as breakfast the next morning as we'll all be staying at a B&B. Our reception is two days later since we're getting married on a Thursday - just personal preference! I wanted an intimate, destination ceremony.

Ah, that makes more sense. Sorry, I thought you were doing a ceremony one weekend with a backyard reception the following weekend which didn't make sense to me.

Anyway, I still second Etsy. Very affordable and sounds perfect for your situation.
