Unity Ceremony?

Bo Miller, on August 24, 2020 at 2:34 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 24

I need some help with a unity ceremony idea! I can not seem to find one that I like. I don't like candles and I am not a big fan of sand (except maybe in an hourglass). But I am just not sure. I can't seem to find anything else.

What about glass? It's similar to a sand ceremony where you have 2 different colors of small pieces of glass then you pour them together for the ceremony. After the wedding you have it blown into a glass piece for your home.

Offbeatbride.com has a ton of ideas. Wine box, planting a tree (in a pot as opposed to the ground), mixing a cocktail, handfasting, combining glowstick liquid in a vase, make and share a pb&j, etc. You're only limited by your imagination.

I've seen those they look cool. We aren't religious though so trying to find something non-religious that would represent us a bit

FH and I are doing a handfasting ceremony. I wrote a short script for it that explains some of the history for our guests that don’t know, and made the cord we’ll use.
I also looked at the unity glass ceremonies because I loved the idea of making a vase to put anniversary/Valentine’s Day/Mother’s Day/birthday... flowers in that’s we created together.

I’m doing a unity plant! We’re probably going to get some chrysanthemums, some soil from our place, some soil from his parent’s place, and some soil from my parent’s place and us and our parents will be planting the plant and watering it together. Unity Ceremony? 1
    Unity Ceremony? 2

We did a Unity Puzzle. The best part is it is now framed and displayed in our bedroom!
