Unity Candle?

Meredith, on September 10, 2019 at 4:14 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
My FH & I want to do a Unity Candle. Do you typically have a table up by where the service is taking place or do you have one brought up? I'm stumped on this one as I don't want anything in the way but am not sure where to do this. Advice please?

I’m renting a small table to put under my ceremony arch since we’ll be outdoors

Is this in a church? If so they usually have a spot for it otherwise if not I would ask the venue if they provide or could they accommodate you.

I see. Are you using candles enclosed in glass so the wind doesn't blow them out or are you blocking the wind some other way?

So I was going to order these and I still might. But we are lighting the candle at the very end so I’m not sure if I really need to. If it blows out during the pronouncement I think it may just be funny. Or I could spend the $30. What were you thinking for yours?

We're getting married at the River Forest Country Club. They have a beautiful room with exposed rafters & wrote iron chandeliers. The candles being lit should be lovely. Thanks for you thoughts on the matter.

Those are lovely. Our wedding is indoors but the venue has a policy that all flames must be in vases. We found candle stands where the glass around them comes off if you turn the glass on the base. Then we plan to keep the candles for our dinner table & light them on our anniversary.

Normally theres a table behind you but if you dont like that have a table off to the side where you two can walk to it.

Thanks. I'm thinking of having the candles already on the mantel (unlit) & then having Pastor & us each take one, having the moms light mine & FH & then we'll light the unity candle with the candles lit by our moms. What do you think of that idea?
