Unique engagement ring band

Jamie, on March 1, 2023 at 9:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Hi all! I have a unique wedding band shape and I'm not sure what to do! I have a hard time picturing what a custom band would look like w.out actually seeing it first. Does anyone havea ring like this?? If so, show me your band Smiley smileUnique engagement ring band 1

I’m guessing the jeweler will suggest to you that you should solder the band to the engagement ring. Otherwise if they are separate, when the two move apart on your finger due to every day hand/finger movements, the band may twist and then become uneven with the engagement ring. If that doesn’t bother you though, you could probably get away with not soldering them together.

Hey Erin! Yes, I will have to get them soldered, but I am more curious as to seeing what this type of ring looks like with a wavy band. I have to get a custom band made to fit it, however I hate not being able to actually see what it looks like. ..so I am hoping someone on here has something similar for a good visual 🤞thanks!

I was planning to go the custom route for a while, and the jewelers I talked to were doing a wax model first for my approval before going forward with making the ring. I ended up finding a band I loved as is so didn’t go forward in the process, but I’m assuming you could ask if you can try on a wax model first. Alternatively, they might be able to digitize it so you can at least visualize it on a screen.

If you haven't already bought a ring, you could look into enhancers. Your engagement ring would fit in between a top and bottom piece and get soldered so it all sits together properly. Enhancers (usually) can be made to accommodate most rings in the middle. There's a lot of big box jewelers with a virtual try-on that you could use to see how you like it.
